29 possible trades for the Detroit Pistons and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
By Cary Gahm
"While this article is absolutely not advocating for trading Caldwell-Pope, to be unprepared for that possibility would be a mistake. For that reason, this article will leave no stone unturned in an effort to fully explore all available options. This article will scour every NBA roster, research every teams’ needs and opportunities, and present a trade offer for all 29 NBA teams. This will be done to explore what options may be out there for the Pistons if they were forced to move Caldwell-Pope. Just seeing these options may be enough for the Pistons and their fans to decide they are willing to do whatever it takes to bring him back."
Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond has 125/1 odds to win MVP
"We all know the chances of a player on the Pistons winning the award is slim to none. The Pistons would have to have the best record in the East, and maybe the best record in the NBA for one of their players to get serious consideration. At the very least they would have to have one of their players have one of the best statistical seasons.Neither option seems plausible, but it’s cool that Drummond is at least on the list."
Reggie Bullock may be a candidate for a contract extension
By Duncan Smith
"On a roster devoid of consistent perimeter shooting, Bullock became a godsend as the Pistons made a late push to make the playoffs for the first time since 2009.Thanks to his efforts, he may be in line for a contract extension with the Pistons. They picked up his team option after an excellent training camp and preseason before the 2015-16 season, and he will become a restricted free agent after the 2016-17 season."
Basketball Insiders ranks the Detroit Pistons near the bottom of the Central Division
"Many think the Detroit Pistons will be a top five seed in the Eastern Conference this season. It’s hard to argue with that projection given the way the Pistons closed out last season, and the additions they made to improve their weaknesses. But not everyone is on the Pistons’ hype train. In fact, Basketball Insiders thinks the Pistons will finish near the bottom of their own division, behind the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Bulls."
