Stan Van Gundy could change starting lineup against Chicago Bulls
Stan Van Gundy seems to be perplexed by the Detroit Pistons’ lack of consistency all season. Despite the team struggles, Van Gundy is leaving the door open for another starting lineup change.
Stan Van Gundy has got to be frustrated. He’s got plenty of talent and yet, the Detroit Pistons’ win/loss record is a far cry from where the team should be.
Arguably the biggest issues stem from the starting unit which has seen plenty of changes this season.
The Pistons may be struggling, but give Van Gundy credit, he’s not giving up.
Hard to tell if Van Gundy is being a sarcastic here or not, but I’m going to assume he is contemplating a change. I’ll give him credit, as aforementioned, for not giving up.
That said, I’m pretty tired of this team’s effort and play to be honest with you guys. I’m sure you are too. This team is the definition of maddening.
I hate to overreact to bad season that may just be fluky given the weird start that funked up the chemistry, but I’m tempted to suggest that everyone aside from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Tobias Harris should be shopped seriously this offseason. (You can throw Stanley Johnson in this mix too since he’s young, talented, and cheap, but Van Gundy and Johnson might have chemistry issues themselves).

To take a line out of Austin Powers, here’s what my response to a potential lineup change is, “Whoopty dooo Basil, but what does it all mean?”
