The Detroit Pistons started their Orlando Summer League journey today, and one player has already began to turn heads–Henry Ellenson, who is drawing comparisons to Dirk Nowitzki and Luol Deng.
The Detroit Pistons are looking sharp so far, as they lead the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first game at the Orlando Summer League.
One player who has particularly looked good for the Pistons is Henry Ellenson who finished the first quarter with 12 points and four rebounds.
His versatility scoring led to some interesting comparisons. The first comparison was to Dirk Nowitzki–a comparison he also drew last season–and the second one being Luol Deng.
Take a look.
Although Ellenson is 6’11” Greg Anthony seems to think he’s only 6’9″, which is maybe why he compared Ellenson to Deng.
Still, the fact that Ellenson has drawn comparisons to such good players is encouraging for Pistons fans. It’s even more impressive that they think he can play some small forward–something that I don’t think makes much sense, but an interesting observation none-the-less.
