The Detroit Pistons all-time team has been announced for NBA2K18, and the roster looks fantastic. But did 2K get the starters right? Were there any snubs?

Detroit Pistons fans, your wait is over. The Pistons’ all-time team for NBA 2K18 has been announced, and I must say, 2K did a great job at first glance. However, there is one obvious omission that may leave you scratching your head.

Via NBA2K18 facebook page (link also shows all other team’s all-time players):

Starters:
Isiah Thomas (rating 96)
Joe Dumars (93)
Grant Hill (93)
Bob Lainer (93)
Ben Wallace (89)

Bench:
Chauncey Billups
Jerry Stackhouse
Richard Hamilton
Dave DeBusschere
Dave Bing
Dennis Rodman
Bill Laimbeer
Vinnie Johnson
Rick Mahorn
Andre Drummond

Shout out to our own Matthew Rolison for nailing 13 of 15 players on the team. Matthew incorrectly chose Kelly Tripucka over Rick Mahorn, and Rasheed Wallace over Vinnie Johnson.

Ok, now time to mention the obvious oversight–how did Sheed miss the cut? No disrespect to Mahorn, he’s a fine player in his own right, but for anyone under 30 years old, Sheed is arguably the most iconic Piston in the last decade. Not to mention, Sheed’s all-time stats, far surpass Mahorn’s. What’s more, Sheed played 5.5 seasons in Detroit, while Mahorn played just two.

Head….Scratcher…

Aside from that, I am pleased with this team. I like that the Pistons have a current player on the list in Drummond. I also wouldn’t change the starters.
