Jalen Brunson – Point Guard, Villanova, Junior

If you are placing a bet on who won’t be a bust in this year’s draft, Jalen Brunson is the smart money. An unselfish playmaker who is solid on defense and can make shots, teams could end up looking foolish for letting him slip in the draft. He’s currently projected to go a few spots below his brother-in-arms DiVincenzo and could be someone the Pistons try to find a way to secure in the draft.

Brunson isn’t an elite athlete which will limit his ability to create for himself, but he’s someone I see fitting in perfectly with Drummond and Griffin, if Reggie Jackson can’t stay on the floor. Aside from being a solid perimeter player, he is also effective at finishing around the rim, exhibits a solid post game, and can rebound well for his size. This could be useful if Drummond plans to spend more time away from the basket.
