Who might the Detroit Pistons target in the 2018 NBA draft?

Other Players to Consider:

Bruce Brown Jr. – Shooting Guard, Miami, Sophomore

If Bruce Brown declared for the draft last year, he might’ve gone in the first round. Instead, he came back, disappointed, and then got injured.

However, he is an excellent defender and a smart player and deserves a spot on an NBA roster. His erratic shooting will be an issue, but his playmaking, defense, and potential could make him a smart pick in the second round.

Landry Shamet – Point Guard, Wichita State, Sophomore

Another physically limited point guard who can still provide a lot of value, Landry Shamet is one of the best shooters in the draft. Last season with the Shockers, Landry shot 44 percent from three. If the Pistons add him to the team, they’ll have two extremely proficient shooters coming off the bench (him and Kennard).

Hamidou Diallo – Shooting Guard, Kentucky, Freshman

This guy is like the exact opposite type of shooting guard as Kennard. He’s athletic, long, and fast. He’s also a sloppy offensive player, mediocre shooter, and bad decision-maker. Still might be worth the pick just based on his insane athleticism.

Gary Trent Jr. – Shooting Guard, Duke, Freshman

This is actually who The Ringer currently has the Pistons projected to select, and I think it would be a terrible pick. He’s a good shooter but a terrible defender. I’d be disappointed if he was the pick.

Also in consideration: Grayson Allen, Jerome Robinson, Arnoldas Kubolka, Malik Newman
