The Detroit Pistons faced the Atlanta Hawks Sunday night and lost 98 – 95. Langston Galloway led the way for the Pistons off the bench with 18 points.

The Detroit Pistons lost their second straight game, now sitting under .500 heading into Christmas.

All of Langston Galloway’s points were in the second half for the Pistons. Although Reggie Jackson fouled out with seconds left, he scored 16 points.

Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin were both essentially non-existent in this game scoring only 13 and 15 points respectively. Although, as Drummond has all season he shined on the glass grabbing 15 rebounds.

The Hawks were led by 41-year old Vince Carter who scored 18 points off the bench. Carter also pulled down 7 rebounds.

Alex Len for the Hawks had a big game scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Rookie Trae Young was kept in check for the Hawks as he only scored 12 points. He was successful on the glass with 7 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists.

Luke Kennard went out early in the game and did not return. He only scored 2 points in 9 minutes of action.

Reggie Bullock played quality minutes tonight for Detroit scoring 8 points and 3 assists in 37 minutes.

A key to close out the year strong is to get the big-man involved early in the game. Drummond and Griffin need to start out strong for the Pistons early on in games if they want to win.

Another key to future games is for the shooters to shoot. The Pistons sharpshooters need to have short term memory when they are in a shooting funk and shots are not falling for them.

Is it time to hit the panic button? Sitting under .500 at this point int the season is not where this team wanted to be.
