Ten Years of Detroit Pistons Basketball Reviewed
The fan base is currently split on whether or not we should continue to build around our current core or blow up the roster and begin another rebuild. While the Pistons lately have been lacking in postseason success what is undeniable is that the Pistons now have a solid front office, a great head coach, and the future is looking brighter than ever.
What used to be a mediocre franchise headlined by the likes of Rodney Stuckey and Greg Monroe is now a more proud franchise that features players like Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond. These players are bonafide stars and are players worthy of being franchise centerpieces.
While we may still have a ways to go before we are considered title contenders we are making solid moves to one day be there. Most importantly what your 2019-2020 Pistons are bringing that past teams have failed to bring is hope. Real, justifiable hope that the Pistons will make noise in the NBA this season.
With the other teams in Detroit not doing so well, the Pistons have the chance to once again be the face of Detroit sports. There is a buzz in the city around a team that hasn’t been there in a long time. It should be an exciting season and an exciting future for the team and I’m going to be at the edge of my seat every minute of the way.
