Each Detroit Pistons player’s journey to the NBA
Tony Snell
Tony Snell is from Riverside, California and attend high school at Westwind Prep Academy . He was a four-star recruit out of school and played his college ball at University of New Mexico, the only school to recruit him.
The six-year veteran was taken in the 2013 NBA draft with 20th overall pick selected by the Chicago Bulls. Snell has played for the Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks before getting traded to the Pistons this summer.
Snell brings a wealth of talent to the Detroit Pistons . For starters, Snell is more than likely the starting small forward this upcoming season for the Pistons. He is an incredible wing defender who is also a widely underrated post-defender in guarding the power forward position.
The improving part of Snell’s game is ability to hit 3-pointers. His first couple of years in the league he was a solid 34 percent career 3-point shooter. The last three years Snell has been lights out at 40 percent from range. When NBA teams play the Pistons they’ll be more inclined to guard the 3-point line, which will open up room for Griffin and Jackson.
Look for Snell to be an underrated factor that contributes to more wins for the Detroit Pistons. He is a player that you can pencil in for a likely 70 plus games a season.
