The 23-year-old forward is from Long Beach, California, and is playing in his fourth NBA Season this fall. Christian Wood played high school ball for Findlay College Prep in Henderson, Nevada. He was ranked 71st overall in ESPN top100 high basketball players.

He elected to play his college basketball career for University of Nevada-Las Vegas. In his final season with UNLV he averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game while blocking nearly 100 shots. The former high flying Rebel was a part of the 2015 draft class in which he went undrafted.

light. Related Story. What Christian Wood brings to the Pistons, a Q&A

He signed his first NBA contract with the Philadelphia 76ers and played for the Bucks, Hornets, and Pelicans. Wood, played very well in his eight games with the New Orleans Pelicans, he averaged 16.9 points and 7.9 rebounds a game in that stretch.

A  6-foot-10 forward with an overdose of talent. Wood is expected to be a backup big man for Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond. The biggest question surrounding  Wood isn’t about his game. There is clear potential for him to be a very productive and good NBA Player. Does he want it bad enough will be the question Pistons fans will be left with trying to figure out .
