Each Detroit Pistons player’s journey to the NBA
Langston Galloway
Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Langston Galloway played high school ball for Christian Life Academy. While getting recruited by four Division-1 programs, he chose to play for former legendary Basketball Head Coach of Saint Joesph’s University Phil Martelli. In 2011-12 Galloway led the Atlantic-10 in three point percentage at a staggering 46 percent.
After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, Galloway played for the New York Knicks G-League affiliate Westchester Knicks. Impressing the front office regime, he was offered a 10-day contract that led to a good rookie campaign averaging 11 point per game.
He has played for New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, and the Detroit Pistons. Galloway is known for his grit and grind level of play – especially on the defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball Galloway shot a respectable 35 percent from beyond the arc last season.
As far as bench production goes he averaged eights points per game on average of 21 minutes per game. Galloway seems to be the outside guy looking in as far as playing time goes this season. With the emergence of Bruce Brown Jr. summer league play and the added quality depth at the pistons disposal, playing time will be tough to get.
