Each Detroit Pistons player’s journey to the NBA
Jordan Bone
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is from Nashville, Tennessee, where he played high school basketball for The Ensworth School. Bone played his basketball collegiate career at the University of Tennessee.
The incoming rookie was drafted in the second round with the 57 overall pick by the New Orleans Pelicans. His drafts rights were later traded to the Detroit Pistons.
In 2018-19 season, Bone made the All-SEC 2nd team. He averaged 13 points, six assists, and three rebounds a game, while shooting 46 percent from field goal range. He helped his team reach the NCCA tournament in his last season with the team.
Bone played in the NBA 2019 Summer League along with his other newly drafted teammates. His performances in the Summer League Playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets really stood out. Bone shot 6-for-12 from the field and was extremely efficient at the free throw line, shooting 6-for-7. His total stat line for that game was 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block.
It’s nice to see that type of quality production from your rookies, even if its just the Summer League. For young players like Bone the Summer League is opportunity to get early NBA action to better prepare them for the upcoming season and set real goals.
