Khyri Thomas
The Former Bluejays baller is in his second season in the NBA. Khyri Thomas is from Omaha, Nebraska and went on to play high school basketball for Fork Union Military Academy. As a three-star recruit Thomas flew widely under the radar and ended up staying in his hometown, playing for the University of Creighton.
Thomas is a former back to back two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year award winner. While winning the award in 2016-17, 2017-18 seasons, he also made the 2017-18 All-Big East Second Team.He came into the league as a 40 percent career 3-point shooter.
Thomas was drafted by the 76ers in the second round, with the eighth pick of 2018 Draft, his draft rights were traded to the Detroit Pistons.
He played in the 2019 NBA Summer League and looks to have added more range to his 3-point game. Thomas shooting percent from the beyond the arc was strong at 43 percent. Having only played in 26 games last year season, Thomas will be competing for rotation role the upcoming 2019-20 season.
