10. December 18, 2015 – 4OT Win vs. Chicago

The line: 14/25 FG, 33 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 54 minutes played (fouled out) 31.5 Game Score

Although this one might rate a little higher in game score than some others, fouling out has to be taken into consideration. This game however went to four overtimes so it’s understandable why it happened.  Missing 11 shots doesn’t help either but regardless Drummond had a monster game and played a career high 54 minutes. Andre’s Offensive Rating of 123 to his Defensive Rating 102 was by far the best starter, although he did not play the most minutes in this game. That honor goes to Marcus Morris who played 57 minutes.

Somehow, the Pistons managed to play their best players in a game more than Tom Thibodeau, but one thing they could not do was keep Chicago from taking free throws. Chicago made 39-of-44 free throw attempts which kept them alive in this game despite shooting 22.7 percent from three.

Not only was Chicago proficient from the free throw line, the Pistons were anything but. They went 27-for-46 from the charity stripe, including Andre’s 5-for-10.

The first three overtimes went by with both teams scoring 22 points combined, but the fourth overtime was a free for all, both teams nearly equaling their previous three overtimes in offense. Reggie Jackson and Jimmy Butler both had 13 points in the final period.

Thankfully, Andre didn’t foul out until 1:07 left in the fourth overtime with the Pistons up 143-137. They then got a Jackson layup and two more free throws from Jackson to seal the deal.
