6. Feb. 8, 2019 – Win vs. New York

The line: 12/15, 29 points, 20 rebounds, 3 blocks, 5/6 FT 32.0 Game Score

Most teams feasted on the lowly Knicks last season and Drummond was especially happy to see that dumpster fire. In the four times these two played last year, Drummond averaged 18 points, 17 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game on 62.7 percent shooting from the floor.

This game of course was no different, although the Knicks would make it interesting going into the fourth quarter.

Trending. Does Carmelo Anthony fit with the Detroit Pistons?. light

After a 19-point lead in the first, Detroit would find themselves with just a five-point lead into the final quarter. Once again, they would be led by their big man Andre Drummond, who led both teams in points (seven) and rebounds (10) in the fourth.

The Knicks offense petered out in the end and Detroit took a comfortable lead late into the fourth. Drummond was an important player in that, and really showcased his defensive rebounding all game long. His 54.6 percent defensive rebounding percentage was his second highest total all last season. His true shooting percentage of 82.2 percent was his fourth highest of the season and he posted an offensive rating of 163 points per 100 possessions.
