Reggie Jackson- Unrestricted Free Agency

Reggie Jackson, along with Drummond, is one of the most important Pistons yet one of the most polarizing. He was a stone-cold killer in the fourth quarter and overtimes multiple times this season, but at the same time he’s incredibly immature like when he interrupted Griffin’s post-game interview.

Jackson and Drummond’s pick-and-roll is effective but not nearly as valuable as what it probably will be offered this upcoming summer. Will Jackson be the starting point guard on a championship-caliber team? Almost certainly not. If he has another 15-18 points per game season and another healthy year, then the Pistons could offer another deal to keep him in town.

His free agent value will be any where from $10-$18 million. Rose’s health and stat line will help set the price on Reggie. If Rose shows that he can become the starting point guard in Detroit, then the Pistons could be content to let Jackson walk. Ricky Rubio‘s three-year, $51 million deal is a little inflated due to the Suns’ desperation for a starting point guard. Jackson started all 82 games last year, and he could have a career year based on his first healthy offseason in a while. I would predict his payday to be $40-50 million over three years.
