Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk- Restricted Free Agency

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk was acquired in February along with a 2022 second-round pick for Reggie Bullock. Mykhailiuk only played three games in Detroit but showed a lot of promise in both of his Summer Leagues he played. If Mykhailiuk’s Summer League play can translate to the NBA and he can become the sharpshooter he was at Kansas, then there won’t be a problem for him to get a new payday this summer.

Mykhailiuk’s game is almost entirely based on his 3-point shooting, very common in the NBA. In college, Mykhailiuk was a career average 41 percent shooter and started every game of his senior season.

Sharpshooters have many different salaries going from up to Danny Green‘s three-year, $30 million contract and Redick’s two-year, $26.5 million contract, down to Kyle Korver and Mario Hezonja‘s minimum contracts. Svi will most likely be towards the bottom part of that. Since he will most likely get around $2 million and probably accept his $2.1 million qualifying offer.
