Fit with the Detroit Pistons
Okongwu would be an incredible fit for the Pistons, and a great replacement for Drummond for many reasons.

First, Okongwu’s age puts him perfectly in the timeline with the rest of the Pistons young core. Okongwu and Doumbouya would be an intriguing front court for the Pistons to build around, one that displays incredible offensive and defensive potential.
Okongwu should not see the floor with other bigs that cannot shoot, but Wood is able to score from the perimeter, and Griffin had shot the three well in a Pistons uniform before his knee injury this year. Okongwu and Wood might become the most explosive center rotation in the league.
While the Pistons may decide to point guard, especially if they get into the top 5 of the draft, I believe that Okongwu will continue to rise up until draft time.
Okongwu would immediately become the Pistons best rebounder. Losing Drummond will be most devastating to the rebounding ability of the Pistons, and they should not look the other way when addressing this need this offseason.
Onyeka Okongwu should be in a Pistons uniform after draft night, regardless of the pick they end up with.
