The Detroit Pistons need to respond against the Milwaukee Bucks after Killian Hayes news.

The Detroit Pistons got just about the worst news they could have gotten regarding rookie Killian Hayes.

What was originally thought to be a minor hip strain has now been diagnosed as a tear, which means Hayes is likely out for the season.

light. Related Story. Should Killian Hayes return from the bench?

Just as it seemed the Pistons were finally turning things around and rebuilding, one of the cornerstones of that rebuild is out for the season.

This is obviously a huge downer, but the Pistons still have a game to play against the Milwaukee Bucks and there are some things I would love to see.

The Pistons can either hang their heads and cry (as I did this morning) or step up and use the bad news as motivation.

Here is what I would like to see against the Bucks.

Detroit Pistons: What to watch for against the Milwaukee Bucks

Play angry

Look, it’s not like the Detroit Pistons were going anywhere this season anyway, but potentially losing an entire year of development (or more) from their prized draft pick should make everyone angry.

The Pistons can’t seem to catch a break but that is life. I’d love to see them come out and play with some fire, to play angry, to show that they aren’t content with the hand fate has dealt them.

The Pistons are underdogs but it would be nice to see them come out and get a win for the rookie.

Detroit has to show that they aren’t going to just fold when things get tough and things are currently tough.
