Detroit Pistons: Who is going to step up and replace Killian Hayes?

Who is going to step up?

Hayes was only playing about 21 minutes per game but someone is going to have to step up and earn that time.

Injuries are always awful, especially to such a young player, but the bright side is that Hayes’ teammates will have a chance to prove themselves in his absence.

The most likely to get more minutes is Delon Wright, though we could see Svi Mykhailiuk moved into the starting lineup.

Saben Lee may get some run and will hopefully show what he can do.

Derrick Rose will likely continue to come off the bench and it would be nice to see someone other than him be the beneficiary of those extra minutes and shots.

This not only gives the Pistons the chance to extend their bench and get more minutes for their other young players but may even allow Dwane Casey to re-evaluate Hayes’ role when he does return.

The situation is not good but there can be a silver lining if one of the other players steps up and siezes the moment with Hayes out.
