Possible Detroit Pistons draft picks: Ohio vs. Creighton

Prospects to watch: Jason Preston (OHIO) and Marcus Zegarowski (Creighton)

These prospects might have more interest to those of us at PistonPowered than they do to the actual Detroit Pistons.

Jason Preston is a former PistonPowered contributor who has become one of the best stories of this year’s tournament. The staff at PistonPowered and the entire FanSided community will be cheering for this young man, who is trying to make the journey from blogger to the NBA.

He is one of the best Cinderella stories of the year, as he bet on himself and is now living his dream, which anyone can appreciate. LET’S GO OHIO!

Marcus Zegarowski is another upperclassman and point guard who is expected to go late in the second round if his name is called on draft day.

Zegarowski can do a little of everything, but if he makes an NBA team it will probably be because of his shooting, as he can fill it up from all over the floor. He is shooting 41 percent from 3-point range on 6.5 attempts per game, so someone will give him a look as an off the bench shooter.

The Detroit Pistons desperately need shooting, though they already have a glut of point guards, especially with Killian Hayes returning soon, and may not want to draft another one, especially since he is already 22-years-old.
