Detroit Pistons Big Board 1.0: Prospects 8-7

Pick Analysis. 64. Arkansas. Moses Moody. 8. player. Scouting Report. Shooting guard

I’ve written about Moody before and I like him even more now.

He is a big shooting guard with plus length who can defend all over the floor and knock down the 3-point shot, which is pretty much exactly what the Pistons need. He gets after it on the boards and has the type of mental makeup Weaver likes as he is a hard-nosed defender with a high motor.

He has a lot of the attributes the Detroit Pistons will look for in a shooting guard and could be the guy if the happen to get hosed in the draft lottery again.

Gonzaga. Corey Kispert. 7. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Forward. 64

This might be higher than some would rank the senior forward out of Gonzaga, but I think Kispert has the highest floor of just about anyone in this draft.

Yes, he is a bit older and there are some concerns about his athleticism against NBA forwards.

But unlike most of these prospects, Kispert will enter the NBA with an elite skill, which is scoring. He can shoot the rock from all over the floor and could end up being an elite 3-point shooter in the NBA.

He showed he can defend his position well enough and would be nice complement to some of the athletic forwards the Pistons already have, as he can shoot the lights out.
