What will Detroit Pistons do with Isaiah Stewart?

Isaiah Stewart has played exclusively center in high school, college at Washington and his first year in Detroit. However, he is listed at 6-foot-8, which even in the small-ball era NBA, is still on the small size.

He does have a 7-4 wingspan and averages almost a block a game. Her certainly makes his presence felt on the defensive end.

But big, physical centers could give him problems. Against the 76ers, Stewart struggled against burly and 7-feet tall Dwight Howard, and quickly was hit with three fouls.

Stewart is working on his outside game. Coach Dwane Casey has stated he wants Stewart taking more outside shots as the season near its end.

It has been a process. Against Philly and Chicago, Stewart sank 5 of 11 three-point shots. In the previous five games, he was 0-for-12 on threes.

Getting a consistent outside shot,  could cause Detroit to move Stewart to power forward next season.

That might also cause a problem for his future with the Pistons. Or it might dictate some future moves by Detroit, depending on where they decide he belongs.
