Detroit Pistons: Rookie of the Year- Saddiq Bey

This award was a two-man race between Saddiq Bey and Stewart. Killian Hayes and Saben Lee are the only other two possible candidates, and while Killian has shown flashes of why he was taken with the seventh overall pick, he hasn’t played in nearly enough games to qualify. Lee on the other hand has not quite played at the level that Bey and Stewart have this season.

A case can be made for Stewart to win this award. His presence on the defensive end of the floor is the most impactful on the team, and advanced statistics are in his favor when compared to Bey. However, Bey played himself into a starting role on the Pistons early on in the season.

Bey has been a knockdown shooter from three, making nearly 39 percent of his three-point attempts on the offensive end. He is third in points per game for the current Pistons roster with 12.1 points per contest. He also boasts the most total court time of any Piston this season with 1,833 total minutes played this season.
