Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 4.0 pick No. 11

11. 170. Pick Analysis. Tennessee / Charlotte Hornets. Keon Johnson. player. Scouting Report. Guard

The Charlotte Hornets were one of the surprise teams of the NBA this season and will be looking to build around superstar rookie LaMelo Ball.

Ball is a dynamic offensive player but doesn’t bring much on the defensive end, so the Hornets might look to pair him with a backcourt mate who can defend.

The Hornets would love to trade Terry Rozier in the offseason, and might let Devonte’ Graham walk in free agency, so they are going to need guard depth.

Johnson profiles as a guy who will be able to defend multiple spots, as he is 6-foot-5 and should be cover some of Ball’s defensive problems.

He runs the floor well and fits in with the athletic team they are building in Charlotte.
