Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 7

142. Scouting Report. Baylor / Washington Wizards. Davion Mitchell. 7. player. Pick Analysis. Guard

I think the Warriors are the team most likely to trade out of the lottery, as they are in win-now mode and don’t have time to waste, with the Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson window rapidly closing.

They could try to package Wiggins’ salary plus Wiseman plus their two picks to get a star, and if Bradley Beal is available, he makes a lot of sense.

This would give the Warriors three elite shooters and put them right back in contention in the Western Conference, especially with Curry still playing at an MVP level.

With rumblings that Damian Lillard might become available, the Warriors could try to target him but instead will send their package to the East.

The Wizards get a tough defender who can shoot and is electric in the open floor in Mitchell, who is Beal’s eventual replacement, and then they can either roll with what they have or try to move Russell Westbrook and really start over.
