The good news just keeps pouring in for the Detroit Pistons.

After winning the number one overall pick in the lottery, it was announced that Jerami Grant would be joining Team USA in the Tokyo Olympics.

It is great to see Grant get the recognition he deserves from in and outside the league after his breakout season with the Pistons.

Yesterday it was announced that some of his teammates will be joining him, as both Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart were named part of the USA Basketball Men’s Select team, which means they will be working out, practicing and playing against the Olympic team as they prepare for the Tokyo Olympics.

Here is the full list of young players who were chosen:

This is great news for the Detroit Pistons, as now three of their team leaders will be playing high-level basketball this offseason, which should improve their overall games.

For the young players, the Olympics will lead straight into Summer League, so it is going to be a busy summer that should include plenty of development.

This will undoubtedly benefit the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit Pistons: It’s Jerami Grant against the world

What better way to improve your game than to play against the best players in the world?

That is exactly what Jerami Grant will be doing, as he is part of Team USA and should get plenty of run as a guy who can defend all over the court and knock down 3-point shots, two crucial skills in the International game.

Grant already made huge improvements in his first year as a Piston, but this type of experience could push his game to another level, and he will come back full of confidence and ready to lead the Pistons once again.

Grant predicted that the Pistons would do “big things” this season and he will be a huge part of that.

Detroit Pistons: Isaiah Stewart can learn from players with similar games

Practicing with Team USA will give Beef Stew a chance to compete against and learn from players who have similar games.

He will undoubtedly get some run against Bam Adebayo, a guy who many have compared Stewart to, as he is also a versatile center who can switch on the perimeter and knock down shots.

In addition, Stewart can learn from Kevin Love, a smart veteran who is also not a traditional center but who has always been a great rebounder who knows how to get position.

These are two guys Stewart can learn a lot from and going up against them every day in practice will only benefit his game.

Detroit Pistons: Saddiq Bey will get a chance to guard the best offensive players and learn from the best defensive players

Team USA is loaded with guard talent, so Bey will get a chance to practice against some of the best players in the world at that position.

His defense will be improved by trying to stay in front of Bradley Beal, Devin Booker and Khris Middleton, three elite scorers who will challenge Bey and help improve his defense.

Also, it can’t hurt to be around a guy like Jrue Holiday, one of the best guard defenders in the NBA, a guy who can defend multiple positions like Bey and show him some of the tricks of guarding up.

This is going to be a huge offseason for the Detroit Pistons, who will not only be adding Cade Cunningham to their young core, but should get huge development from three of their best players.

This is finally a good time to be a fan of the Detroit Pistons again.
