Detroit Pistons: Trade with the Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers seem to be at a crossroads after flaming out in the playoffs again, firing their coach and then making what ended up being a controversial hire of former Piston Chauncey Billups.

The Blazers have a great offense but could use defenders and the Pistons need an injection of shooting. The Trail Blazers don’t have any draft picks, so this one is just an old-fashioned one-for-one swap.

In this trade, the Trail Blazers improve their perimeter defense and add a versatile bench player in Jackson, while the Pistons get to take a flyer on Anfernee Simons, who is just 22-years-old and shot 42.6 percent from 3-point range.

This trade makes sense for both teams, as they both get to patch a need without taking on any long-term money. Call it in!
