Detroit Pistons draft picks: NBA Draft prospect Vrenz Bleijenbergh

The fit for the Pistons is pretty easy in my opinion since Bleijenbergh’s main skill right now is shooting and his size. He could slide into a shooting guard or small forward slot and start working on his game to follow the Lonzo track and fit quite nicely alongside Killian, Cade, Saddiq, and Beef Stew.

While I do like his guard skills and the potential to be a big point guard running the second unit, I think the team would de-emphasize that until they get decide what Saben Lee’s future with the team is. If Lee stays around long term then there wouldn’t be much of an opportunity for Bleijenbergh to display his point guard skills with Cade, Killian, AND Saben Lee on the roster.

With the team in more of a talent-acquisition-phase, rather than a finding-the-right-fits-phase, Vrenz Bleijenbergh would be a fantastic pick at either the end of round one or somewhere in round two as a mismatch on the wing and creating even more of a supersized lineup where Killian could be the “smallest” guy playing Dee-troit Basket-ball!
