Detroit Pistons: NBA Draft trade with the Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers are going to be in a ton of rumors this season after flopping again in the playoffs. There are rumblings that they might try to move on from Ben Simmons, who does not seem to be a good fit with Joel Embiid.

I don’t think the Detroit Pistons are a suitor for Simmons, but they might be able to find a way to help each other anyway.

This trade would improve Philly’s overall depth and make them better defensively, though they were already very good on defense and would probably prefer to keep their shooter.

They would also get project Doumbouya and a draft pick that is only nine spots lower than theirs.

The Detroit Pistons get a shooter to come off their bench and move into the first round, though the very end of it. This is not a blockbuster by any means and I think the Pistons would be more motivated to do it than Philly, but if the 76ers wanted some more depth and youth in the pipeline, this would be one way to get it.
