Detroit Pistons: Trading the #1 pick in the NBA Draft to the Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are a team to watch in this draft, as they have two picks in the top-8 and could definitely try to use them to move up to get one of the top-four guys.

I could see a team like Toronto trying to move back one spot and pick up that 8th pick, but Orlando will have a make a godfather offer to get Detroit to move out of the top-four.

In this trade, you are going for quantity over quality, picking up a young forward who is already under contract plus an additional future pick.

You’d only do this if you think there is not a franchise-altering talent in the top four and that you might be able to get a two talented players in the lottery.

It’s a bold move that is going to make Pistons’ fans hate you, but I give you credit for following your plan.
