Detroit Pistons: Drafting Scottie Barnes and Corey Kispert with picks #7 and 14 in the NBA Draft
You are trying to build around depth and must think that Wiseman is pretty good to give up the number one pick in the NBA Draft.
But you have a much deeper roster now that is well-balance and has some shooting, so it’s an interesting idea.
- PG- Killian Hayes/Saben Lee
- SG- Saddiq Bey/Hamidou Diallo/Frank Jackson
- SF- Scottie Barnes/Josh Jackson/Corey Kispert
- PF- Jerami Grant/Sekou Doumbouya
- C-Isaiah Stewart/James Wiseman/Mason Plumlee
You have constructed a very deep roster that is built around long and versatile defenders but lacks shooting and scoring.
You’d have to find a way to get Stewart, Wiseman, Grant and Bey on the floor together, which would give you an insanely long defense but would be light on scoring.
You really better hope Wiseman becomes a star on this team or that you can trade some of your surplus talent for guys who are a better fit because this team is going to struggle to score.
You’re probably getting fired for doing this, but the good news is that there is a job waiting for you in Golden State, as you just helped rebuild their franchise.
You are no longer welcome within the city limits of Detroit.
