The Detroit Pistons have the first overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and are very likely to use it on Cade Cunningham.

Troy Weaver is doing his homework, listening to offers and evaluating prospects, which is not an indication he is taking someone else, but that he’s just doing his job.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun, so this article is going to allow you to put on your GM cap and guide the Detroit Pistons through the 2021 NBA Draft and the many possibilities they have.

Detroit Pistons: How to be the GM of your own NBA Draft

(Editor’s note: This story is filled with realistic scenarios to simulate some of the choices the Detroit Pistons will have in the NBA Draft.

Each page will give you a new trade option and at the end you will get to decide whether to accept it or not and then how to use the pick.

I couldn’t add every single possibility but you’ll have trade options for the top seven picks. I also realize the money doesn’t always work, so think of these as the “meat” of the trade and I will let the lawyers work out the financials.

I’ve tried to create a realistic trade for each of the first seven picks, and you can always just revert back to taking Cade Cunningham to add to Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Killian Hayes and Jerami Grant.

The options presented to you at the end of each slide will all end with a linked word, you must click on it to continue on to that slide. This process will continue as you weave through the story you create through your choices until you finally reach the end of your path, and from there, you can go backward, retrace your steps, and try again. Enjoy!)
