Detroit Pistons: Drafting Davion Mitchell and Corey Kispert with the #7 and 14 picks in the NBA Draft

In this scenario, you have went with a guy I really love for the Detroit Pistons in Davion Mitchell, who has the right makeup to be a star in Detroit where hard-nosed defense is appreciated.

He can also shoot the 3-ball and run the floor, so you might have gotten a steal here in Mitchell, who led his team to a title and was often the best player on the floor.

  • PG- Killian Hayes/Saben Lee
  • SG- Davion Mitchell/Hamidou Diallo/Frank Jackson
  • SF- Saddiq Bey/Josh Jackson/Corey Kispert
  • PF- Jerami Grant/Sekou Doumbouya
  • C-Isaiah Stewart/James Wiseman/Mason Plumlee

Hmmm, I don’t hate this team, as you have one of the best defensive backcourts in the NBA already and they are both very young.

Mitchell could end up being like Donovan Mitchell, so you’ve redeemed the Detroit Pistons for missing out on the first incarnation.

You have a very good defensive team that is scrappy and has some shooting, so I don’t hate it. I still think you are nuts for passing up Cade Cunningham, but you have a very deep roster that can defend and has some scoring as well.
