Detroit Pistons: Drafting Jalen Suggs with the #2 pick in the NBA Draft

You must have been enamored with the way Suggs carried his team to the NCAA championship game because you just gave up a chance at Cade Cunningham to get him.

You might have been able to get Suggs later in the NBA Draft, but if you think he is the guy, you have to be aggressive to get him.

SF- Saddiq Bey/ Jae’Sean Tate
PF- Jerami Grant/Sekou Doumbouya
C- Isaiah Stewart/Mason Plumlee

You are counting on the fact that Suggs will be able to thrive off the ball or that Hayes will play some shooting guard, otherwise you have two young point guards.

This is going to be a smart team that has plus passing and playmaking but may struggle to score the ball as you don’t have many shooters.

You are banking that building a smart, versatile team is the way to get back to the top of the Eastern Conference and have put your reputation on the line to do it.
