Detroit Pistons: NBA Draft trade with the Milwaukee Bucks

I don’t see a ton of possibility with the Bucks, whose roster is more or less set for next season. The Detroit Pistons could really use some shooting, so might have to overpay a bit to get it from the Bucks.

I think this is an overpay from the Pistons, as Jackson is probably the better all-around player and the Bucks are getting a pick as well. But shooting is a priority in the modern NBA and the Pistons do not have enough of it.

Diallo and Jackson are very similar players, so the Pistons aren’t really giving much up here, while the Bucks are adding the bigger, better defender in exchange for DiVincenzo who shot just under 38 percent from long range on 5.2 attempts per game.

The Pistons would be paying a little more to fill a need and take a chance on DiVincenzo being a better long-term fit.
