Detroit Pistons: Josh Jackson could be traded next season

The Detroit Pistons have other options if they can’t find a suitor for Josh Jackson this offseason.

They can simply run it back with him coming off the bench, and if he is playing well, the Pistons could move him at next season’s trade deadline when his contract could be more appealing.

To be clear, I don’t think the Detroit Pistons have to trade Jackson and it is more about his expiring contract than his play, as you won’t find too many guards making $5 million a season who produce more than Jackson off the bench.

If the Pistons can improve their 3-point shooting elsewhere, then there might be some interest in bringing Jackson back as a guy who can defend and occasionally get hot off the bench.

Jackson did have some big games for Detroit, and the additions they’ve made could help open up his game even more.

In that case, he could have an expanded role next season and into the future.
