Detroit Pistons vs Brooklyn Nets: November 5th

This game could very well be a blood bath. The Brooklyn Nets are a championship-contending team, loaded with elite offensive talent.

How can a young, inexperienced and developing Pistons squad hope to slow down an offensive juggernaut led by Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden? Short answer: They probably will not be able to.

This game is a must-watch for another reason.

Blake Griffin will be making his return to Little Caesars Arena for the second time as a member of the Nets.

In the prior meeting, Griffin played well. The former Piston scored 17 points, collected three rebounds, and sunk both of his attempts from beyond the arc, all in just over 20 minutes of play.

The Pistons are likely to show a video tribute in honor of Griffin in this game. With fans back in the stands, this will be an opportunity for Pistons fans to show gratitude for the power forward who gave them one of the best single-season performances in franchise history.

Griffin’s exit from Detroit was not the most elegant. At times fans may have even resented the former All-NBA power forward for the drama that began to brew in his final days with the team. Also, the fact he suddenly could dunk again once he was traded.

But this will be the perfect opportunity to leave the past behind.
