The Detroit Pistons should go super small at times

Here is a lineup I’d love to see the Pistons use once in awhile to try to increase pace and get some quick scores:

  • Saben Lee
  • Frank Jackson
  • Killian Hayes
  • Cade Cunningham
  • Hamidou Diallo

With Cade and Killian both able to defend up, the Pistons could take advantage of their versatility and throw this lineup on the floor for short stretches. This is not only their quickest and most athletic group but has three guys who can break down a defense off the dribble.

Cade and Diallo are both plus rebounders, so they could hold their own in bursts and give the opponent a look that would be difficult to match up against.

The Detroit Pistons are officially in the “let’s see what happens!” point of the season and now is the time to try out some different looks and strategies to see if they find something that works.
