The Detroit Pistons should use Killian Hayes and Hamidou Diallo in the pick and roll
The Detroit Pistons do not have a big man capable of running the pick and roll effectively with Kelly Olynyk out, which is a shame because that is precisely the thing Killian Hayes is supposed to be able to do well.
We’ve not seen much of Hayes in the PnR, the thing he was drafted to do, and now might be the perfect time to remedy that.

I actually like Hamidou Diallo in the pick and roll, something they used sparingly in the last game with some success.
Unlike any of the Pistons’ bigs, Diallo actually is a threat to roll to the basket and knows how to finish once he is there, so I would love to see a steady diet of Killian and Hamidou in the pick and roll.
Of course, neither of these guys can shoot much, so it probably won’t work, but again, this is the time to experiment for the future and get the young guys some reps doing things that they might not want to attempt in games they have a chance of winning.
