The Detroit Pistons should play everyone with Cade Cunningham out

Let’s face it, the only reason so many fans are watching this season is to see the development of Cade Cunningham, and while that is on hold, the Detroit Pistons may as well trot out everyone else.

I’d love to see guys like Jamorko Pickett, Isaiah Livers and Luka Garza get some run in this stretch, as they might have a future with the team (unlike the guys they are behind) and who knows, maybe the Pistons will find a spark for their bench.

Pickett has shot the ball pretty well in the G-League, hitting 38 percent of his 3-point shots on 6.1 attempts per game, the kinds of numbers the Pistons could use, as their shooting is terrible.

Livers has only gotten on the court once for the Pistons this season, but he too could be the type of 3-and-D wing they desperately need, so why not give him some run now?

Same with Luka Garza, who has played well in flashes but clearly needs reps on defense to work through his issues and figure out how he can contribute on that end.

The Detroit Pistons have nothing to lose at this point, so they might as well throw the kitchen sink out there and see if they find something.

This is not a fun time to be a Pistons’ fan, so the least the Pistons can do is play the young guys to give us a reason for hope.
