Who on the Detroit Pistons will have a breakout season?

James answer then:

"“I think Frank Jackson could get some more national recognition as a Sixth-Man of the Year type of guy. I think that depends on Detroit’s record, but I think Frank could come off the bench and get you double figures scoring. I think he has that in him. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets there. From what we’ve seen in the preseason, he’s lighting the basket up, he’s shooting well, he’s getting to the rim. I think there’s potential there for a more nationally recognized season for Frank Jackson.”"

The reality:
Though Frank Jackson’s season might not qualify as a “breakout” season, he has played very well at times and established himself as a key bench piece moving forward.

When Jackson is on, he is electric off the bench and is a guy who can give you 25 points and win the game.

But like all of the Pistons, he has struggled with consistency and his shooting numbers have plummeted from last season even though he is scoring more.

Jackson is not in the 6th man of the year discussion, but I don’t think he’s far from it and can get there with continued development next season.
