The Detroit Pistons will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, but for Pistons’ fans, the real battle is between Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley.

The Cavs are the NBA’s surprise team this season, currently tied with the Bucks for 4th spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Pistons are once again in the cellar with the NBA’s second-worst record.

Detroit fans have had little to cheer about from a team perspective this season, so we’ve spent our time focused on the individual development of players like Cunningham and Saddiq Bey.

Cade is currently a heavy underdog for Rookie of the Year and will need to have a strong finish to the season to be in consideration.

That starts with bettering Mobley tonight and hopefully getting his team some W’s down the stretch, as a few wins aren’t likely to change the Detroit Pistons’ lottery odds.

Cade Cunningham is coming off an MVP performance in the Rising Stars Challenge and hopes to build on it with a win over a division rival.

Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are seven point underdogs at home vs. the Cavaliers.

The most recent NBA injury report shows that the Cavs will be missing Darius Garland and Caris LeVert, with Lauri Markkanen listed as probable, which is why this spread is so low.

The Pistons are coming off a tight win over the Celtics and the Cavaliers lost two in a row going into the All-Star break.

The money lines are set at +240 for Detroit and -300 for Cleveland, and if you think the Pistons can win this game (I do), it might be best to just bet them to win outright and get the better odds.

The over/under is set at 209.5, which is exactly what these two teams average combined per game on the season.

The two teams scored a combined 220 in their last meeting, so even though the Cavaliers have the NBA’s best defense, I like the over in this one.

The Pistons beat the  Cavaliers in the last meeting, and now they will be without their star guard, so I like the Pistons to win this one at home and for the two teams to hit the over.

Cade Cunningham had a triple double the last time these two teams met and Saddiq Bey chipped in 31 points, so they are your best bets in daily fantasy.

Keep an eye on the status of Frank Jackson, as he had a big game off the bench vs. the Cavs in the last meeting but is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. He is a classic low cost/high reward play in daily fantasy.
