Detroit Pistons: Top-5 players in franchise history
Detroit Pistons: Top-5 players of all time
#1: Isiah Thomas
Stats: 19.2 points, 9.3 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game in his 13-year-long career without ever playing for a team other than the Detroit Pistons.
Who else would take this spot? Honestly. Zeke was the original Baby-Faced-Assassin. The third greatest point guard of all-time.
The 12-time All-Star is the only guy that anybody can say truly embodied the Pistons style of play more than Wallace.
Thomas was an elite player in every facet of the game and was not afraid to put a player in their place if they messed with him.
There are countless clips of Isiah Thomas chasing after players to fight them. His most famous moment of this was when he choked his own coach during a game.
Thomas also played in the 1988 Finals with a badly sprained ankle and a dislocated finger in game six. Not only did he play, but he also dropped 43 points on Magic Johnson.
Zeke is famous for these types of moments, but he backed up his toughness with incredible skill on the court, being able to beat anybody in a wild variety of ways.
Thomas also made five All-NBA teams in his career and led the league in assists in 1984-85.
Isiah Thomas was and probably will be for a long time, the embodiment of Detroit Pistons basketball.
There are plenty of other great players to play in Detroit and keeping the list to only five players was difficult and with the current roster and this upcoming number five overall pick, it is likely that making this list will be even more difficult 20 years from now.
