Detroit Pistons: Jerami Grant trade to Philadelphia 76ers

Jerami Grant started his career in Philly and one 76ers writer wants to bring him back. Mike O’ Connor recently proposed several fake trades for the 76ers, one of which included Jerami Grant.

This would definitely qualify as a blockbuster, as a whole lot of money, talent and assets would be changing hands.

Phew! This is a lot to take in, as there is about $77 million of contracts being exchanged in this one.

The 76ers shore up their perimeter defense, get a versatile backup center and get off of Tobias Harris’ monster contract.

For taking on said contract, the Pistons get two-time All-Defensive guard Matisse Thybulle, 19-year-old Jaden Springer, this year’s 23rd pick and the rights to a future swap.

I don’t think a deal like this is going to happen, but it is an interesting suggestion and shows another way the Pistons could use their cap space to acquire talent without signing a free agent.

Here’s why the Detroit Pistons would say yes or why they would run away.
