To quote the great Yogi Berra, this season has been “deja vu all over again” for the Detroit Pistons.

Not only are they once again one of the worst teams in the NBA, but they are once again at the center of trade rumors, this time for Bojan Bogdanovic.

Just like last season, the Pistons are playing coy about their intentions, as they have claimed that they want to keep Bogdanovic, but they said that last season about Jerami Grant and we saw how that turned out.

If the right offer is made, the Detroit Pistons will probably take it, as Bogdanovic is already 33-years-old, and as good has he’s been offensively, Detroit might regret not cashing in their best trade asset when his price is at an all-time high.

Most of the trade rumors for Bogdanovic thus far have revolved around the veteran contenders looking to add some firepower for a run at a title. The NBA is as wide-open as it has ever been, with no clear favorite, so adding Bogdanovic could be enough to push one of these teams over the top.

The Lakers are the team that has been attached to the Pistons in rumors for the longest, but the two are currently in a game of chicken to see which one blinks first, as LA doesn’t want to give up an unprotected pick and Detroit says they won’t do the deal without one.

We’ve also looked as possible trades with the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks, all mainstays in the playoffs over the last few seasons.

But there are also two upstart teams in the Western Conference who not only have intriguing young talent and picks, but also might want to add Bogdanovic to make a run at a title.
