Which uniforms will Pistons wear in opener vs Heat? How to watch
The Detroit Pistons will tip-off the 2023-24 season tonight on the road against the Miami Heat.
It’s already been a bumpy start for the Pistons, who will be without Bojan Bogdanovic, Monte Morris and Isaiah Livers to start the season. The news got worse yesterday when it was announced that Bogdanovic would be out for at least four weeks and that Morris would be out for at least three to go along with Livers, who is out for 4-6 more weeks.
So Monty Williams will have to adjust his lineups and rotation on the fly and the young players are going to have to step up right away, including Killian Hayes and Marcus Sasser, who are now likely to start the season in the rotation.
Things never seem to be easy for the Pistons, but the other teams aren’t going to feel sorry for them, so they can expect the Heat to come out swinging tonight. One of the keys to the game will be for Detroit not to fall behind early, which they did in all but one preseason game.
How to watch Pistons vs. Heat
The season opener will tip off at 7:30 PM ET and you can watch on Bally Sports Detroit or listen on 97.1 FM The Ticket. For streaming options you have NBA League Pass if you live outside of the region or you can get a free trial at FUBOtv to start the season.
The Pistons are at least nine-point underdogs at most sports books, so there isn’t much belief in this young roster, at least not yet.
Which uniforms will the Pistons be wearing tonight?
The Detroit Pistons will start the season in their black road uniforms with the blue and red stripes. It appears as though the teal is gone for this season (thank god) as well as the red uniforms with the lightning bolt (I liked those). They’ve been replaced with the new “Bad Boy” city editions that are growing on me after initially getting mixed reviews from fans.
The bad news about this game is that the Pistons will once again start the season shorthanded, but the good news is that expectations are low enough to make this a win-win situation for Detroit tonight. Miami did get off to a slow start last season, so let’s hope the Pistons can catch them napping and get a shorthanded road win to start the season.
