The Detroit Pistons have the 5th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and myriad ways to use it.

It’s difficult to predict what new president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon will do as he tries to alter the course of the franchise.

Best player available? Reach for fit? Draft in his previous mold?

There is also a chance to trade the pick, as there are reportedly several teams looking to move up in the draft. The Pistons are in a position to move back a few spots, pick up an asset or two and hopefully improve their roster while still getting a lottery talent.

One team to watch is the Chicago Bulls, who are reportedly eager to move into the top 10 and may give up an asset or two to get there.

Here is our latest 2024 NBA Mock Draft, which tries to take into account some of the most recent rumors floating around the league.

#1: Atlanta Hawks select Zaccharie Risacher

The Hawks will likely be shopping this pick right up until the moment they make it, as there is not a surefire franchise changer in this draft and the Hawks are eager to reboot around Trae Young.

There is growing consensus that if Atlanta keeps this pick, they will take Risacher, a huge wing with defensive upside and a 3-point shot who would fit onto any roster.

Atlanta might have a hard time dealing this pick since they are not likely to get the payoff they would in other years, as no one really wants to pay the #1 pick over 10 million a year in such an unknown draft.
