5. The Detroit Pistons select Zaccharie Risacher 

Risacher is one of many players in this draft who has a fair amount of boom or bust potential. Are you going to get the guy who looked like a 3-point sniper in the EuroCup or the player who has shot a pedestrian 30 percent from long range since? The Pistons need a long forward who can shoot and defend nad Risacher does fit the profile. He’s a plus playmaker with good instincts on both ends, and if that 3-point shot is for real, he’s the type of 3-and-D player the Pistons desperately need. 

But his weaknesses (shooting inconsistency, inability to finish in the paint) show just how big a crapshoot this draft is. None of these picks are going to have their fans dancing in the streets, so we may see a record number of trades in the top five this season.
