There has been speculation about what the Detroit Pistons are going to do with more than $60 million in cap space this summer but so far we are playing the waiting game.

We have to wait for the Pistons to have a boss, as they have only begun their search for a president of basketball operations and until that person is hired, nothing is going to happen.

They are also waiting out the results of the playoffs, not only for potential candidates for the POBO job but for unhappy teams that decide to go in a different direction and make players available for trade this summer.

The list of potentially unhappy franchises is long and growing, and each of them has a guy who could be on the Detroit Pistons' radar.

#1: Phoenix Suns

We already talked about the Suns, and for the most part, they won't be relevant to the Pistons unless it is part of a multi-team deal. The Suns aren't going to trade Devin Booker, so you can keep dreaming there. Even if they did, there is a long list of teams that have more to offer than the Pistons. They may move Kevin Durant, but it won't be to Detroit. Bradley Beal is a contract the Suns would love to shed, but why would the Pistons take that albatross on? And even if they wanted to, Beal has a no-trade clause (that contract is so toxic) and my guess is that he won't waive it to come to the worst team in the NBA.
